Sometimes we men are stubborn. You might need to make an appointment for him, and then act like he forgot he made it, to get him to go. Men really are that easy to manage 🤣

Itchiness may have been due to an increased blood flow. The itchiness occurs (to the best of my knowledge) when toxins are carried through the cell walls back into the blood stream. The cells release Histamines to encourage itchiness. The benefit of this? Is to encourage you to assist in getting the toxins through the cell wall into the blood stream. You don't need to dig in with the nails. Just finger tips to "push". Our bodies are so grateful it will even reward us by secreting an endorphin that creates a "Pleasurable" feeling.

@chitlitlah Well, a "Wall" separates on space from another... and a "Membrane" separates on space from another so... But think you for correcting me! 😘

@yimb8437 That'll do it. I love how doctors use big words to describe things. Histamine (itchy) Pruritus (skin). Like I mentioned, when there is a lot of something in the cells that the body wants to get rid of. It gets passed through the cell "Membrane" 😜 which adds histamine to it to cause the itchies. The worse the itchies? The more "contamination" that's passing through the cell "membranes". So, there was likely a higher concentration of T in your cells that they body didn't like. P.S. Don't mind me... It's one of "those" days, so apologies if I am annoying. Its not meant...

@danehowe4286 Potato/Potatoe. I know it's a cell membrane 🤣 I just got to typing and wrote cell wall. I wasn't doubling down either. People sometimes are too serious... Sarcasm is the most difficult thing to get across. Sort of like grammar police. They do not all mean well. They just like to pick the nits. Then get offended. I don't get offended I just laugh it off and "usually" make a smartass comment. It's difficult enough to stop these sites from changing your words because you typed as (S) instead of at (N) and these stupid autocorrects that keep turning themselves back on change the word it An or Am.

How "controversial" do you guys like to risk? I've always followed science and not "Feelings or Opinions" I prefer to share actual facts vs fictional opinions. Would you consider doing educational videos with regard to the "potential" damage HRT below a certain age developmentally could cause? Possibly even potential risks associated with long term HRT during conversions (you know what I mean 🤣 ) Its getting more and more disturbing the direction that a certain segment of the medical community has started heading toward. People need to have unbiased knowledge that is not influenced by the current "Flavor of the Week". I am quite sure your profession has far more information than the general public (or even many providers) are being given.

@Jszar Yes... I do know that... The topic concerned itching, not smooth muscle contraction, capillary dilation or participation in wakefulness or lack thereof. Having been the purveyor of "Too much Information" many times myself 🤣 I'll simply end buy saying, "Thank You!".

It depends on who is getting HRT for what. Nobody is fearmongering here. Fear is only stroked by those who refuse civil discussion. Also please do not spread LIES in my comments. HRT can indeed be extremely damaging, it's been medically and scientifically proven. Neither of which care what your "Feelings or Opinions" think.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist (or even a college degree) to know that adolescents rely on the proper hormones to complete their physical development. We also know that the right frontal lobe doesn't finish maturing till 25 for purposes of "reasoning". And that Dysphoria is a word made up by Dr Levine and his (now) ex-wife in 2013 while at least one of them still worked at Penn State (HI LIA!) because they didn't like being told they have a mental illness (BDD). There is also RUMBLE or even Twitter, now that Elon has monetized content there.

@GeneticEngineer Nope, not going to happen. I know you all get the "Hurtsies" every time someone doesn't stroke your feelings and tell you that you're special. I deal in "Facts" not feelings and opinions. If you don't like it? Too bad. Sorry but you are not "Special". That's just what mommies are supposed to tell their babies so they stop crying.

@WhichDoctor1 I am glad it worked out for you. I honestly don't care what adults do with their bodies. I will however totally disagree with your assessment of safe and effective. That is just totally wrong. Just the surgical complications alone prove that incorrect. Also the "Standards of Care" provided by WPATH are written by self-serving and biased individuals. Two of those are Dr Levine and his ex-wife. Pediatric psychologists who added all the nonsense about transitioning children, to include children with disabilities & before anyone bothers to argue? Find it and read the 260+ pages of the latest version of WPATHS SOC, v8. Because I have and I know what it says. Contrary to what someone is telling you? there is NOT an age limit for adolescents or children. Yes it says 16-18 and lays out time lines. But EVERY single one of those? Ends with "Each patient is different, so its best left to the care team or the individual." Which completely negates the 16-18 range, because if the Dr says, "It would be best for Johnny to start treatments before entering puberty, for best effect." And mommy/Daddy/ Emancipated minor say OK doc. The treatment CAN be started before 15. Review a precious video from this channel about the "rational" part of the brain and how it doesn't finish maturing till the age of 25. Then try your best to convince ANY child has the ability to rationalize such a life changing decision. Also I WISH people would stop saying TRANS. That is not a stand alone word, it cannot be an abbreviation. TRANS is a root word used as a prefix for HUNDREDS of different words. It is NOT exclusive to Transgender (before) or Transsexuals (after treatments begin).

I don't disagree with you. But what would happen "Socially" if one day "They" realize errors in judgment were made that could have been averted if "ONLY" people had been better informed? We have recent history to prove that point with the Covid lockdowns and "Actions" taken by the "Experts". How many people lost their lives due to being poorly or incorrectly informed? Doctors are not gods. It is their duty to the patient to be absolutely certain of their actions and treatments. Pitbulls are strong loyal protectors. They are also aggressively protective. That does not mean they are the best choice of dogs for everyone that wants a loyal protector. No matter what the professional breeders or veterinarians might say. Just because someone says something. Doesn't mean they are correct. Just saying... Sometimes it's better to ere on the side of caution. One person cannot save the entire world. But if they can save one person? Even a stranger... That makes all the difference.

@rkvoldom9818 Yeah I often find the STUPID people in these threads. Especially those who think like one or the other has anything to do with changing children chemically or surgically is a good thing to do. Unless of course we are looking for pedophiles. Only a pedophile thinks about kids and sex.
