  1. We made a treaty with the survivors on the dark side of the moon to leave them alone in trade for technology. They are from a planet that used to exist but is now the asteroid belt. They came here but realized they could not inhabit the Earth. So... They used humans (Think Ancient Aliens) to build vessels for those who wanted to travel "deep space" (They left directions). Those who remained live in underground habitats on the moon. However, humans have either been violating the original treaty? Or the survivors "need" something from us. Maybe they have even devolved socially. Their technology is based on "Electromagnetism" and the manipulation of graviton particles.
