The British mined Norwegian waters (hurr durr violated international laws and agreements), planned for an aggressive war (Plan R4) and was about to execute that plan hours before the Germans did. There's a quote from some British officer about "beating the Germans for once".

@JLar-bb5hl Did you not read anything I wrote ? It was British aggression which provoked Germany into securing Norwegian neutrality. Germany wanted Norway to remain Neutral. The British wanted to take the iron resources from Germany and thus planned their invasions under the guise of "protecting Finland". No doubt you just think Germany invaded Norway because "world domination" or some other cringe propaganda trope. You'd notice they didn't invade Sweden which geographically was able to remain neutral from British aggression.

Read Simon Newman's "March 1939 the British guarantee to Poland". No, Britain did not wholesomely "defend it's ally" as you are led to believe. Britain didn't care much about this "ally" from 1795-1919. This wholesome "ally" that partook in the dismemberment of Czechoslovakia and put forth the Madagascar plan.

Britain started WW2 by starting WW2, there was no WW2 to join before Britain started it lol. Did Britain join WW3 when America invaded Iraq ?

@toml1446 point is there was no world war was there? Similarly there would not have been a world war had Britain not declared war.

So do you also think the British Empire should have intervened (aka start WW1) against the USA when it was geocoding the natives and aggressively expanding against all it's neighbours ?

Eastern Europe accounted for 2% of our trade.... that's not really losing much is it ?
