"they only got a little and they felt cheated" that's a smooth way to say "Britain and France violated their treaty obligations and refused to let Italy take the territory they promised"

@catswithguitars6195 No its just hypocrisy, because we all know if Germany did something of that calibre OS would mention it but since its the good guys(tm) doing it, it's glossed over

@MarkoFTW they added alot actually. In fact in some ways they were decisive, if they allied with Germany then the Germans would have won instead. Remaining neutral then Austria would have crushed Serbia and held off Russia on its own freeing German armies to remain in France.

@samphillips8188 US doesn't have anything to do with British-Italian treaties. "Nonsense" It's not nonsense, the Italians held down more than 2 million Austrians. 2 million Austrians that would have been employed against Serbia or Russia. "the Entente would have changed its strategy" There was no other strategy for the entente other than "fight Germany on as many fronts as possible", they would just have millions less troops fighting against millions more central powers troops. Italy's interest aligned with Italy. They literally had a motto about it "sacro egoism". They just decided Austria was an easier prey. Had the Germans defeated the French in 1914 they probably would have invaded France and tried to steal their land instead.

PumpkinHeadPro The_Minecrafter Nope but i'm an italian nationalist anyway ;) Main point is how whitewashed "history" is, especially in the Anglo-Saxon world. How we never mention anything that might change the narrative from "everyone else is bad" to "are we the baddies?"

@Chineseconcrete Nah the evidence is based on his other videos, if it's something Germany does then it's presented in an insidious way. If the allies do it then it's brushed over like I pointed out.

@thetruereality2 there's nothing not simple about the sentence I gave.

@ChaffyExpert "as far as I'm aware"

@oneandonlyk1ng yeah a "but Britain broke its promises to Italy" is simple enough.

Difference is real fascism actually worked and was only destroyed by foreign warring states. Communism on the other hand left countless starving and a terribly ran economy.

yeah but its easier to say that than to explain how hitler actually wanted to be allies with britain and poland lol hence "oversimplified" or rather the sort of history we've been told for 80 years "oversimplified so much that its almost alternate history"
