33:27 so basically Romania started WW2

"Germany had to go to war because of the economy" Funnily enough this is also why Britain went to war, I believe in one of the Cabinet meetings the treasury minister basically said "go to war in 1939 or not at all" because the British rearmament campaign would have broken the British economy in 1940.

Quoting mein kampf isn't ballsy, however if he made a video titles "the british 'peace front' and why britain started ww2" now that would be ballsy

@stephenobrien5909 Perhaps you should read "March 1939: The British Guarantee to Poland" by Simon Newman, because yes, their actions clearly did regardless of intent. Whilst Poland and Germany were in talks over settling their issues amicably one such Noel Mason-Macfarlane wrote a long winded letter to the Cabinet urging for war, days letter when Chamberlain issued the blank cheque to Poland, Alexander Cadogan the permanent under secretary to the foreign office would note "I gather Mason-Macfarlane will approve our action today".

People doubt the traditional narrative of how "Hitler started WW2" because the official narrative omits the British encirclement attempt (which is why Germany sought to neutralize Russia with the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact), the Polish threats of war over Danzig (even if Danzig voted to re-join Germany themselves), the détente with Poland which Danzig sought in July 1939, the Polish ultimatum of August 4th, the Polish military mobilizations or even Hitler's numerous offers of an agreement with Poland from 1938-1939 and the fact that it was Poland that refused to return to negotiations in the very last week before the outbreak of war (apart from a vague response from Lipski in literally the last hours before the intervention in Poland).

34:49 except the Guarantee to Poland was designed not to avoid war or cause one but to frustrate German influence, had there been no guarantee and perhaps even a Treaty of Friendship between Germany and Poland. What then would happen? Germany would continue to "aggressively" peruse favourable economic deals with European countries such as the one it struck with Romania in March 1939. Had this happened then no one would listen to Britain in Europe anymore and that is what Britain feared.

@electronworld4996 given his numerous attempts at getting one, yes. See his conversation with Beck on January 5th 1939 in Documents on German Foreign Policy.

@electronworld4996 He "invaded" Czechia in March 1939, he made a few offers to Poland before that, his offer of January 5th 1939 was Danzig re-joining Germany whilst Poland retaining special economic rights in Danzig and the Polish corridor being guaranteed to Poland. Basically Hitler offered to be the most pro-Polish German statesman in history. Yet Poland for whatever reason rejected these offers. >He wanted to take territory, period. He was not particularly bothered about Polish territory, contrary to popular belief as I have mentioned he offered to renounce German claims to the Corridor, which would annoy millions of Germans had he done that.

It's funny how foreign ministers have always been the cause of war, yet the narrative is that WW2 was solely Hitler's fault? I think WW2 is no different to any other war in this regard and that it was indeed another war caused by foreign ministers Ribbentrop, Beck, Bonnet and Halifax. Ribbentrop is accused by many diplomats of aggressively urging Hitler to go to war with Poland. Halifax created the "Peace Front". Bonnet gave Halifax the idea of a guarantee to Poland. Beck refused to return to negotiations with Germany after the British guarantee.

@dennisweidner288 How exactly do you think the British Empire came to being ?
2
@dennisweidner288 is this a jest? Britain signed numerous agreements with the commies giving away Poland to them despite their whole war against Germany being based on "protecting poland" which as we all saw after 1939 was a complete lie. Even the whole "Hitler was untrustworthy as he broke treaties" was a lie, as we saw the British were well willing to enter into agreements with the communists despite them breaking treaties such as the Polish-Soviet non aggression pact.
2
@dennisweidner288 when you say "Perhaps you have not noticed, the Soviet Union no longer exists. And this is because of American and British resistance to Soviet barbarity" This is ludicrous and the total opposite from the truth, it is only because Britain and America allied with the Soviet Union that it existed beyond 1942. The Americans were good friends to the soviets until about 1949 or the early 50s
2
Would people blame America if WW3 broke out over Cuban Crisis? Would people blame America if China guaranteed Iraq and declared war on America after it invaded iraq? Essentially it all boils down to "Britain/America does it, it's good. Anyone else does it, it's bad"
2
@electronworld4996 It was about preventing the USSR from allying with Britain

TIK, what are your opinions on Hitler's attempts to gain a deal with Poland from 1938 to April 1939. How does this fact fit with your "he had to go to war because of the economy" narrative, also what did the Germans gain economically from a poor agrarian country like Poland anyway ?

@ukkev7290 what is it titled ?
