Comments by "AFGuidesHD" (@AFGuidesHD) on "The REAL Reason Hitler Declared War on the USA" video.
"in relation to the general cause of British victory to which we are committed" - Ambassador in Spain to the Secretary of State, Jan .29 1941 B-but why would Germany attack the neutral, benevolent and peace loving US of A ?

@nonomnismoriar9051 supplying a belligerent state with weapons, certainly is an act of war, certainly removes the laws on neutrality. The USA declared war on Germany in WW1 over a mere offer of supplying weapons to Mexico lol

@christianlibertarian5488 Germany was at war with Britain but not America and therefore restrained itself to not attacking American ships that were supplying Britain, this frustrated the Kriegsmarine. In declaring war, it was open season for the Kriegsmarine which is today referred to as "the second happy time" I believe.

"The outbreak of war in 1939 must be solely blamed on Germany for obvious reasons" I recommend you read Simon Newman's "March 1939: The British Guarantee to Poland". A good read on how it's so illogical to say that the country which declared war had nothing to do with starting the war.

@Alvi410 I think the idea was that the US was already using its main weapons against Germany aka mass supplying Britain. They never expected America to mobilize troops as fast as they did.

if pat buchanan said "grass is green" would you disagree on principle ?

That's just not true at all though, what Buchannan argues is that Hitler's intentions were always Eastwards against the USSR, nowhere is Hitler ever recorded (until Britain intervenes in Eastern European affairs) in saying that he wants war with the West. On the contrary, Hitler wanted an alliance with Britain and France, instead it was Britain that did not want a strong German power in Europe and sought to prevent this from happening at all costs.

"If I'm told that some countries want to remain democrats — very well, they must remain democrats at all costs" is this paradoxical quote in German accurate ?
1
@tyronebiggums285 I mean, that's basically the same sentence as the English version. Perhaps with less correct grammar or phrasing e.g. "When one says, the others are remaining democrats after all, good," is like something from google translate .

21:41 - fearmongering, a classic part of warmongering. Had Germany actually defeated Britain, more likely they would have sought peace with America, though for economic reasons America would prefer to fight this new autarkic power, for the economies of Germany and America were mostly the same being industrial exporters. America wanted an export market. I don't see capitalist America willingly turn itself into an autarkic power.

@nonomnismoriar9051 No because it was entirely a British-German affair.
1
@nonomnismoriar9051 how was it an American affair ?

@nonomnismoriar9051 Except Germany didn't want to take over Europe by force, it was Britain who wanted to prevent a peaceful German hegemony by force. However Germany resorted to force in order to get back Danzig which they failed to do so through diplomatic means in the back drop of a British encirclement attempt.

@nonomnismoriar9051 > Hitler had planned to conquer Lebensraum in the East since the 1920's. Oh yes, Hitler had long thought of a war against the commies to occur at some point, in the 1930s he hoped for a German-Polish war against the Soviet Union, likely occurring over Ukrainian independence. But "taking over Europe" in that sense is totally different. Read telegram 762.00/240 in "documents on US foreign policy", you can find it through google, unfortunately I can't link as they get blocked on YouTube. > You're sounding very suspiciously like a Nazi sympathizer now. Setting the historical record straight usually is "nazi sympathy" because the facts have been omitted from the mainstream narrative, there's a reason why the German-Polish talks of 1938-39 are never mentioned, why Britain's encirclement in 1939 is never mentioned, why even the British guarantee to Poland is usually glossed over as a "final warning to hitler who wants to take over the world". Because it changes the narrative completely from "evil germany taking over the world" to an Anglo-German rivalry for influence in Europe. I highly recommend "March 1939: The British Guarantee to Poland" for a historical analysis on British policy at the time.

@nonomnismoriar9051 Because Danzig was a German city with like 98% German population, Hitler was willing to relinquish the Corridor if Poland allied with Germany against the commies. As we all know it didn't happen for whatever reason, though it's interesting to think what if Poland did give back Danzig and didn't view Danzig as some holy site. Our whole perception of "Hitler's war to take over europe" would be changed, quite likely because there wouldn't be one.

@nonomnismoriar9051 Yes. I somehow doubt that Hitler would genocide his allies.

@nonomnismoriar9051 >July 1941 Yes, Hitler played alot of politics in his speeches, if Poland was Germany's ally then no doubt he would be talking highly of them. read this - https://www.jstor.org/stable/25776202?seq=1

"He thought he would win" I mean that's literally why anyone starts a war, Chamberlain thought he could win because he was told the German economy was close to collapse and that the Generals would overthrow Hitler if Britain declared war on Germany, we all saw how that went.
