Churchill voted to start WW1 when no other cabinet member did, urged Poland to refuse negotiations with Germany and then planned for WW3. Lovely chap, we should build a statue to him or something.

@aleksanderwielopolski8205 turns out influential MPs such as Churchill are involved in affairs regardless of weather they are currently a minister. Churchill had plenty of meetings and luncheons with Polish diplomats and important folk.

WW2 was such a disaster for Britain that we've basically made up myths to make it seem that it wasn't too bad. "special relationship", "allies", "victory" etc. Not many "victorious" countries get occupied by millions of foreign soldiers and in financial servitude to them.

tbf the only reason the USSR won was because of Western Aid. Without it they would have lost and would lose against the wallies.

Well without lend-lease Germany takes over Eurafrasia and the USA no longer has the European market to sell its crap to. There would have then been a cold war between Europe and America and who knows what would have happened.

The commies were dependant upon western aid however, this is the key problem for them. On the other hand the allies were reliant on ports and it would have been difficult to fight over war torn landscapes. Overall though it probably would have been an allied success pushing the commies back to at least the 1941 borders.
