  3. I don't understand why people want to believe the earth is flat. That's what the uneducated masses believed during the Dark Ages. The belief that the Earth is flat has no place outside of a Renaissance Fair. Ancient Greek scientists proved the Earth was a sphere over 2000 years ago. What you gonna believe? Science from experts or dogma from the layperson.

  7.  @jonrendell  You have to appeal to their emotions. You have to scare them. For example, if you want people to be more environmentally conscious tell them your right to drinking clean water is being violated by corporate greed. Then tell them a story about how a kid became autistic from water borne contamination near an industrial plant. The story doesn't even have to be true. Just propaganda to scare them.
