  1. I live in one of the other Western states. I grew up in Idaho. It always kind of irked me that California got more media attention than any other western state as if California was the only state west of the Rockies. The rest of the west is catching up to California now because California's population is beginning to stagnate or not grow as much as people leave.

  2. This is actually good for the Great Lakes. I heard the lakes were shrinking. Less population = Less shrinking of the Great Lakes.
