  1.  @nelisezpasce  I lean liberal and I can tell you. Most of us liberals don't 2 shits about making LOTR more diverse. We have better things to care about. Tolkien based his fantasy on northern European and Old English myth, so just go ahead and make all the characters white. I don't care about the virtue signaling b.s. of putting a black guy in a Beowulf film or whatever. It's ridiculous!

  2. Funny thing about Bezos. He's a fiscal conservative but only because he doesn't like paying taxes and gets tax cuts from Republicans. And yet on social issues he's so liberal that he'll have a hand in creating a woke LOTR show. What a tool! No wonder everybody hates him.

  6. True. The author of books, screenplays, etc. is the real talent. Publishers and TV execs are mostly glorified middle men that the creator has to go through as they try to change his/her original script. And yeah. They would totally complain about something like that. The media has lost its mind.
