Oh, yeah. They did the same thing at my elementary school as a kid in the early '90s. I got to see a bag of weed and smell what weed smelled like. As a kid! In retrospect, what a weird day that was. 😆

I remember D.A.R.E. Red letters on black t-shirts. I don't know if that was an attempt to make DA.R.E. seem badass or what? Schools don't have dare programs anymore. I just assumed dare always existed when I was a kid. I didn't know it would one day die out.

They wanted to be boomers. Doing their boomer things. Listening to boomer music like Chicago, the Osmonds, and The Carpenters. Working too hard because society told them they needed to be at work all the time. What saps!

Have somebody tell the horror story of how drugs ruined their life. How they were unmotivated when on drugs and so couldn't hold down a job. How it ruined their relationships. How they wasted entire afternoons getting high on the couch. The students after hearing those stories would be like 😧

They even had a really terrible Saturday morning cartoon special in 1990 about not doing drugs. They showed us video tapes of the crappy special in school too. It featured the Ninja Turtles, Garfield, and a bunch of other cartoon characters telling us not to use drugs. In retrospect it was probably one of the worst cartoons to ever waste air time on network TV. I watch it now on YouTube and I think, 'Ugh. Really?' It was bad.

Unless you were a fool you wouldn't have done drugs anyway. Regardless of DARE. The DARE program was pointless.

In the age of drug tunnels, walls do nothing.
