  17. I'm on my parents' phone plan in my 40s. It's the only reason I have internet access and can comment. If I wasn't I'd be homeless. I can barely afford the heat at my house, let alone the mortgage. Spent last night freezing. If I had a kid they'd be homeless. I'm not bringing a kid into an America where poverty rates are starting to look like the Great Depression.

  22. No. The term "labor shortage" was invented by employers to justify keeping their wages low and shift the blame to nonemployers who don't want to work for ridiculously low pay. They're always inventing new words to vilify the workers. Just in the past couple of years they've invented at least several new terms that do just that.
