  5. OK boomer. Here's some FYI for you. Today it's more like, worked 14 years and can't buy a house because homes don't sell for under $300,000 no more. Not even the trash fixer uppers or 130 year old houses cost less than that. A home that isn't falling apart or is up to date costs at least $400,000. If you make less than $19 an hour you're screwed. It's always been like this? No it hasn't.

'The rich create jobs' talking point translates to 'the rich want more for themselves and will probably do the bare minimum for workers in return. They will use the extra money they get from tax cuts to lobby politicians and bust worker strikes.' Fox News is just a bunch of rich people in suits fleecing an audience of dumb impressionable sheep.   34. I'm starting to think the Chinese have the right idea on how to run an economy. A private equity firm would never be legal in China. The Chinese government regulates everything. Unless the regime benefitted from private equity it would be crushed there and the criminals who ran it would probably be put to death by the Chinese government. China has a reputation for executing white collar criminals.

Maybe it creates jobs overseas but not here without strict regulations prohibiting outsourcing. Gutting all of our fair labor and anti-trust laws and the Tillman Act were the WORST things Reagan and Bush did to the economy aside from giving huge tax cuts to billionaires. We're all chickens now.   49. The Democrats are just fiscal conservatives and are only liberal on the social issues. They mirror the politics of Jeff Bezos who has described himself as fiscally conservative but socially liberal. We need fiscally liberal politicians who will raise taxes on large corporations and we need them badly.
