  12. High school level economics is what lay people rely on. Try Macroeconomics on for size and you realize how complex and seemingly ambiguous economics can be. Conservatives have been overusing the word communist to frighten their easily frightened base into gutting every social program since the '80s. And now they're going after social security too. The only propaganda is the con of trickle down economics.

  18. We're slowly turning into Mexico economically. No anti-trust laws, no minimum wage, and they might even get rid of hourly pay. Same as Mexico and other third world countries that have almost no regulations at all. Regulations are what separates the developed world from the undeveloped world and Republicans want us to be more like the undeveloped world.

  21. There's a lot of things that should be illegal but aren't. I'm an aspiring author and I once came across a vanity publisher with a million red flags. It was called Litfire Publishing. The only reason I know about it is they cold called me telling me they wanted to publish my ebook in print. I never contacted them Red Flag #1. Red Flag #2. All their employees had Filipino accents. I told them I wasn't interested. Red Flag # 3. They called me back months later under a different name. I knew it was Litfire because the guy who called me had a Filipino accent. That "publisher" should be illegal. They aren't.

  29. Not meeting expectation? That's a b.s. excuse employers at big companies use when they have massive layoffs for no good reason. Most employers think their workers are gullible. I would tell them to their face after firing me. "I don't believe you. I think you're lying. I think you just needed to make up an excuse to fire a bunch of people. Maybe give your top execs an unnecessary pay raise. Why can't you just admit you're overstaffed instead of giving us excuses for firing us?" Just to see the shocked reaction on their faces. Priceless. The HR people would be like, "What? Nobody has spoken to us like that before. How does this employee know we're liars??? Our workers are supposed to be more gullible than that and just take our word for it."
