  1. I NEVER heard about private equity firms on the mainstream news. I stopped watching the news years ago. I got more news from this YouTube video than I ever got from watching the CBS Evening News or CNN.

  2. Artists are always getting ripped off and ROBBED by talentless glorified middle men. It would be nice if musicians didn't depend on the swindlers who own the record companies. Especially if one of them is dumb enough to play in private equity.

  5. And most conservatives continue to believe most rich people are good guys and job creators. A conservative once told me I was biting the hand that feeds by criticizing the wealthy business criminal class. I'll continue to bite. He can continue to be their dog. Or their underpaid work horse.

  8. I'm starting to think the Chinese have the right idea on how to run an economy. A private equity firm would never be legal in China. The Chinese government regulates everything. Unless the regime benefitted from private equity it would be crushed there and the criminals who ran it would probably be put to death by the Chinese government. China has a reputation for executing white collar criminals.

  10. You must work in private equity. I hope somebody cuts the breaks on your Rolls-Royce. Accidents often happen to business criminals. Especially in countries that don't tolerate them like China. Be careful overseas.

  14. There's a lot of things that should be illegal but aren't. I'm an aspiring author and I once came across a vanity publisher with a million red flags. It was called Litfire Publishing. The only reason I know about it is they cold called me telling me they wanted to publish my ebook in print. I never contacted them Red Flag #1. Red Flag #2. All their employees had Filipino accents. I told them I wasn't interested. Red Flag # 3. They called me back months later under a different name. I knew it was Litfire because the guy who called me had a Filipino accent. That "publisher" should be illegal. They aren't.
