How come gullible people who fall for scams and frauds don't go to jail? Being gullible is also a vice, not a virtue. Gullibility is wrong. It's bad to be gullibile. Gullible people vote! Their gullibility affects us all.

@warling5042 If you don't understand that gullibility is a weakness and that might is right and weakness is bad you won't understand. I don't expect you to understand. Most people don't. Most people view gullible folks as victims rather than seeing them as the hapless idiots they are. It might have something to do with gullible people outnumbering skeptics and cynics. If you're a gullible person (as most people are to a degree) you'll see yourself in weak minded individuals and be more likey to empathize with them. If you're a skeptical person you're more likely to empathize with other skeptics. You'll probably be more empathetic towards people with critical thinking skills if you yourself have those skills. Why should we empathize with losers who easily fall prey to bad ideas and silly nonsense or who have emotional problems that allow them to be conned? Those people are the losers of society.

@warling5042 Such people should learn to be more wary and skeptical even if it's not one of their strong suits.

Toby Thompson Yeah. Low paying jobs are the real prisons. It's true. The only escape is getting away with taking long breaks. It will neverpay enough to motivate you to work hard and the Mexicans at your job will work hard for low pay anyway, so you might as well.

@gunsmoke132 If you earn what you're worth then why do politicians get paid more than scientists? Scientists are surely worth more. Athletes are overpaid too. Just because there is demand to see them play does not automatically make our system into a meritocracy. Food for thought.
