Most people. That's why most of Germany followed Hitler. It's why most people are religious and follow a religious leader/figure. Critical thinking isn't a skill Americans seem to have, so Americans are obedient too.

As an atheist who believes in science I disagree. It's religion that does all those things and more.

@malibudolphin3109 religious people have no critical thinking skills. It's been proven by catscans. I was raised religious and left those childish beliefs behind. I have no use for belief in miracles, prayer, or magical anthropomorphic sky beings. It's all very stupid.

@malibudolphin3109 "God encourages us to use it." No he doesn't. I was taught in church that faith was more important than using my mind. I was told to have a blind spot in my skepticism when it came to religion. What makes you think God encourages people to think? It's the opposite.

@malibudolphin3109 If you agree that the people in the Jonestown cult were indoctrinated you have to be open to the idea that your church does the same thing minus the Koolaid. Most religions don't become suicide cults because they rely on their sheep for money while reading Bronze Age Israelite mythology from the Bible.
