@effscottfitz-gee2024 Religion is based on fear. According to both Christianity and Islam, you'll go to hell if you accidentally choose the wrong religion. Choose wisely. 😄

The problem with capitalism is that it's above criticism. Criticize it and somebody will bring up communism for some odd reason. As if to say, "Oh yeah? What about the communism whataboutism? Whataboutisms are my best argument in defending capitalism."

@effscottfitz-gee2024 Capitalism works best when regulated by socialism. In Albert Einstein's article 'Why Socialism?' Einstein argued that as long as the power of beurocracy is kept in check by a democratic system socialist policies could work for the benefit of society. Unregulated capitalism is why we have the greediest healthcare system in the developed world. Einstein was basically describing democratic socialism. The kind that Bernie Sanders supports.

@effscottfitz-gee2024 'when has capitalism been regulated by socialism and it worked "best".' If FDR's New Deal was passed today it would be blocked by Republicans under the reasoning that it's socialist. Yet the New Deal ended the Great Depression. So it worked. Today the regulations of capitalism in Canada and certain European nations are working well. That's why those countries don't score as high on the Geni Coefficient of social inequality. The U.S. is the only developed country that doesn't raise its federal minimum wage.

@jasonm1827 Right wingers love to claim that the New Deal prolonged the Depression. It justifies their continued gutting of fair labor laws and keeping the minimum wage at $7.25 an hour.
