  1. The United States of America is the only first world nation I can think of where you can work full time and still be homeless. The worst part is that people who are age 55 and older are clueless as to how bad things have gotten. They entered the workforce during a time when the middle class was strong and most of the poor were as wealthy as the lower middle income people today. Things have changed radically since the 1980s and '90s. And not for the better.

Maybe quiet quitting is a result of bosses wanting people to do 2 or 3 jobs they don't get paid extra for because the largest workforce in American history (boomers) are now retiring and now there are too many duties and not enough workers to fill the duties or to fill the jobs of massive numbers of retirees. But I don't know for sure. Just a thought.
