I justify my disbelief in scientific facts by the fact that I'm not smart enough to understand many of them. Didn't even go to college. I'm also too ignorant to accept any new idea and I refuse to change my attitude. I make fun of smart people and call them nerds because I'm secretly jealous of their superior intellect even though I will never admit it. Can you blame me? "Anyway, screw you scientists! You dorks! Get a real job! Like mine working 18 hour shifts at the steel mill for 2 bucks an hour!" The mindset of a moron laid out for you there. If you were to psychoanalyze one of them you'd find out this is all true. This is why they act like they do.

Red states usually pay teachers less and have a beef with teaching actual scientific facts like evolution. The Republicans are currently waging a bigger war against education than they have before.

Well, they're not working on poverty reduction at all. Conservative policies are the reason we have a historically low minimum wage and the poorest middle class since the Great Depression. Conservative politicians create poverty. They don't alleviate it.

  34. People don't get it. Without a higher minimum wage, other companies that don't pay minimum wage lower their wages as well. I used to work at a job that paid only $9.00 an hour. It would have been higher if the minimum wage was at least that high. Besides, when people earn more they spend more. Raising the minimum wage helps everybody, not just people working minimum wage jobs.
