Because it's not worth their time to investigate people on death row. Human beings only care about money. Time is money. Also, there is not a single logical argument for the death penalty. It's always some crybaby whining about justice. Boo hoo! Somebody killed my loved one. We should kill them. Boo hoo!

Also, the DA's, police, and lawyers who prosecuted the case against the innocent person are protecting their careers. An innocent person getting executed is more convenient than if they got exonerated. It's the prosecutors who are the real criminals. But Americans are gullible fools. They trust their corrupt suits and ties.

Why not get rid of the death penalty altogether. That way you could save the state money and you wouldn't have a guilty conscience when you accidentally executed an innocent person. There are plenty of stupid emotional arguments for killing a murderer but not a single logical argument.

Yes. The lethal injection equipment, the doctors who are paid to perform the execution procedure, the extra legal fees, etc. all add up. It's way more expensive than life in prison.

Alex g greenfurt This is the 21st century. The death penalty is an emotional knee-jerk response to murder and has no place in today's society. People who believe in the death penalty should build a time machine and go home to pre-industrial times where they can be as stupid and ignorant and superstitious as the scum they descended from.

Alex g greenfurt If you think that 1 percent is an acceptable figure then you are an evil murderer. Satan himself (if he existed) would be a better person than you.

Alex g greenfurt How are you supposed to get revenge on somebody if they're dead? Murderers aren't afraid to die. Wouldn't they suffer more in prison? Maybe they're borderline suicidal and they want to die. Lethal injection costs way, way, way more money than life in prison. And you want your taxes to remain low. Silly. Those are just a few reasons. Aside from the fact that the death penalty is barbaric and archaic. It is humanities longing for cave man justice where they hunted the suspected murderer and killed him without a fair trial. The United States is one of the few developed nations on earth that is still executing innocent people instead of exonerating them. It's just pathetic, isn't it? So sad and stupid.

The prosecutors are the real criminals. They care more about their precious careers than they do about a human life. Prosecutors will actually go so far as to conceal evidence that would get an innocent person on death row exonerated. They are the purest form of selfish. In fact, I think I'll write a novel about corrupt prosecutors. Get the American public to distrust and hate people in our justice system.

Alex g greenfurt People who support the death penalty have a very childish view of justice. They need to grow up.

Cheesus Sliced Our justice system is too broken to convict somebody BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT. It's filled with crooked cops, lawyers, and D.A.'s. If anybody should be executed it's the lawyers.
