@Frankie9553 But does it have a progressive tax which lowers taxes on people making less than six figures a year? California's tax system rewards wealth but there's no estate or inheritance tax. It's not a very progressive tax system.

@dwightschrute47 That's because California is fiscally conservative and won't tax the rich. Taxing the rich would bring cost of living down, especially if they raised the estate tax.

@YourLittleMartian conservatives have actually moved further right on fiscal policy. Remember when they used to raise the minimum wage every 3 to 4 years to keep up with inflation and didn't give away as much money to the rich? Those were the good old days. The fiscal policies of the right in the 21st century borders on insanity.
