  1. Society will never learn from history because society is run by psychopaths. Psychopathy is a disease. According to psychology, people who suffer with psychopathy don't see any point in learning from the past or from past mistakes. Society will never smarten up as long as we have diseased people in charge.

  3. I really hope you're joking. A society can't prosper if its people don't prosper. Ancient Rome learned this lesson the hard way when it fell. Emperor Nero was a madman and an evil emperor, but at least he was a socialist for his time who was despised by his fellow elitists. Policies that promoted economic equality would have kept the Roman Empire from falling due to economic collapse--or at least delayed it for another hundred years.
