I really do think that some of the more hardcore conservative people who are FAR to the right really do live in medieval times. 1) They don't believe in science. 2) They believe in supporting every war. Extreme nationalism. 3) They believe that church and state should be closer together rather than separated. After all, America is a Christian nation founded by the most pious believers ever. Even though it kind of wasn't. Glenn Beck likes to claim this. 4) They're judgmental, hypocritical, and superstitious. 5) They believe that we need just about as much social stratification as any medieval society had. Lords and peasants. Anything thing else is SOCIALISM! Scary. Spooky stuff. Superstitious and paranoid attitudes.
