Burning books is bad even if the books are full of shit. A better way to get your message across is to correct all the false information and logical fallacies in the books with a red pen. Maybe correct some stereotype in these books. Write hasty generalization fallacy next to the stereotypes you find. Then send a video of yourself riffing the textbooks to the Texas Board of Education. It would be interesting to see if they turn red in the face or not after being humiliated and ruined. Maybe send the corrected versions of the textbooks back to the authors. LOL. That'd be hilarious! They'd be so pissed at the lack of respect their ideas were being shown.

This is what happens when Rick Perry is allowed to make decisions. Thank God he didn't become president. Let's hope he never does.

I respect Texas for their computer software and their space program at Houston. But yeah. Lately it seems like the stupidest state in the country. What is going in Texas?

cypheir A lot of things we grew up with won't be available to kids in the future. A lot of parental watchdog groups have already gotten rid of certain toy guns and certain cartoons they consider to be too violent. We live in a culture of whiners, complainers, and people who want to indoctrinate kids with garbage instead of actual history and science. People just roll over backwards and cave into the whiners and complainers. Proper education and violent video games are the next things kids will be deprived of. It seems like freedom of expression in the arts and media and a right to education are slowly but surely becoming things of the past. It's all about control and indoctrination. It will be a different world for our grandkids if this censorship and indoctrination bullshit is allowed to keep up without a strong opposition to it. But not a better world for them.

Why is something that might be moderately anti-American bad? Apparently Texas values blind patriotism over critical thinking. Texas is at war with science and critical thinking and education in general. They want Texans to remain ignorant and stupid. That's what it seems like here. That's just what this country needs. More ignoramuses who vote for folks who have policies that would make people from the 19th century cringe. Even people back then were more enlightened than the people running Texas. Partying like it's 1699. At this point it wouldn't be surprising to find out that Texas started lynching people, burning "witches" at the stake, and teaching flat earth ideas in science class. What year is it in Texas? It has to be at least the 17th or 18th century. Pre-Revolutionary War times since there's no separation of church and state anymore in Texas.
