  1. People don't get it. Without a higher minimum wage, other companies that don't pay minimum wage lower their wages as well. I used to work at a job that paid only $9.00 an hour. It would have been higher if the minimum wage was at least that high. Besides, when people earn more they spend more. Raising the minimum wage helps everybody, not just people working minimum wage jobs.

  2. Blake Brink It's weird how nobody worried about raising the minimum wage 20 years ago, but now all of a sudden it's an issue. I guess it must have hurt unskilled workers back in the 1980's when it actually kept up with cost of living, huh? The only reason it's an issue for the first time is that people are being bullshitted into thinking it's an issue. Stagnant wages are bad for everybody.

  3. 'Oh, no! We can't raise wages. Let's allow them to remain stagnant. Just like our economy.' 'Haven't we always raised the minimum wage to keep up with inflation?' 'Yeah. We're done doing that now. It worked too well in the past.'  LOL. I can't believe I have to resort to jokes and sarcasm to show how stupid the argument against raising the federal minimum wage is.

  4. It hurts unskilled workers? It hasn't hurt them before. And even if it did, what would he do? Cry? Probably not. He'd probably just pick up his social security disability or welfare check. Then again, he'd be more likely to be on welfare if his minimum wage job didn't pay shit. LOL. So, if you support this new idea that the minimum wage is bad you're contributing to more people being on welfare.  It's just so hilarious.

  5. I've actually seen ads on Craigslist for jobs that pay only $10 an hour for skilled workers with experience. I laugh every time. No skilled worker will work for that kind of pay. Unless he's some loser. LOL.  They'd better raise the minimum wage to spare me from having to see such ridiculous want ads. The whole system is a joke.
