Just remember that we Americans didn't elect Trump. The electoral college which steals votes for Republicans elected him. Sign a petition to abolish the electoral college. We need at least a million signatures.

hey there $40 dollar minimum wage? Yeah right. Your entire comment became an absurd exaggeration after you made that statement. Why do you love absurdities?

hey there Minimum wage on the island has little or nothing to do with the island's debt or poverty problem. Especially since Puerto Rico is a US colony and not a state or sovereign nation. (BTW, Australia has a much higher minimum wage than the US and it's doing great economically.) The US made it easy for the island of Puerto Rico's government to borrow by giving its bonds triple-tax-free status. The US made no effort to limit how much the island could borrow, though it had the power to do so. So the island's government did what many Democrat and GOP administrations in Washington have done. It borrowed to provide the services the voters wanted rather than raising taxes to pay for them. The US debt is no more sustainable than PR's debt. The difference is that the US can print all the dollars it wishes to pay back its debts, while PR cannot. Also, since Puerto Ricans are US citizens, the goal should be to raise the standard of living on the island to that of US states, not lower it to that of third world countries. That is a responsibility the US took on when it annexed the island without asking the permission of the people living there. This is clearly a borrowing problem and debt problem. Suggesting that a minimum wage increase (to the pathetically low federal min wage of $7.25 an hour) is the main source of the problem is a false correlation. If Puerto Rico gained statehood it wouldn't have this problem. Here are some minimum wage myths debunked by the Department of Labor. https://www.dol.gov/oasam/programs/history/reich/reports/pay.htm Who are you gonna believe? The department of labor or a fake news

My point being that Trump didn't actually win and neither did George W. Bush in 2000. Losing the popular vote should mean losing the election.

hey there Also, some conservatives make the erroneous claim that a minimum wage increase would lead to inflation but inflation seems to be going up at the same rate as always in spite of the fact that minimum wage hasn't gone up in a decade. So... WTF? Also they don't like change but are fine with the fact that minimum wage doesn't keep up with inflation like it used to? As if keeping working class wages stagnant doesn't count as change. That is a BIG change, actually. If you want to set the clock back, set it back to the 20th century (post-1940/post depression era) when minimum wage kept up with inflation. Haha!

I've been to some cities in Canada that are less than 20 miles from the US border. I would move to Canada if the US didn't need my votes so bad. Will be voting Democrat across the board come November.

If people in foreign countries don't understand how the electoral college steals votes from the majority then they're ignorant.

Good news. Now I won't run into as many foreigners at national parks.
