  1. The Greeks and Romans were a very clean people who had lavish bath houses. It was the barbarian tribes of northern Europe who were filthy. Once they began to overrun Europe during the Dark Ages the Europeans became a disgusting people. The Vikings and Germanic people were the smelliest people on planet Earth. People think the Vikings were an advanced culture just because they discovered new lands and were explorers. The Vikings were NEVER more civilized or educated than the Romans. Their entire culture revolved around war and bloodshed and uncleanness. And I suspect racism. They never treated foreigners like people.

  3. ***** They were less advanced than the Romans. The Romans had aqueducts and sewage drains that made that made indoor plumbing possible. The Greeks even used pressurized showers. The Romans invented concrete and built statues and busts and other forms of art that put them ahead of their time. The Romans even had something similar to what we today would call deep hole toilets. The kind you use on campouts. Not quite as advanced as toilets but still an invention ahead of its time. Some of these inventions were a millennium ahead of their time. Concrete wouldn't be reinvented until the 19th century. But Romans invented it first. People were still pooping in chamber pots until the toilet (something that the ancient Romans sort of had almost 2000 years earlier) was reinvented. They would have invented more if they would have abolished slavery. A socioeconomic thing that stood in the way of Hero of Alexandria's steam engine invention. It was the dark complected Mediterranean people of southern Europe and the Levant who invented pretty much everything thousands of years earlier. Not northern European whites like white supremacists would have you believe. They were late bloomers in the realm of innovation I'm afraid. Let's not forget, it was the Greeks who invented Western medicine and science.
