For those doubting this, yes, it was a Georgian woman, and she took down internet for all of Armenia. How a single individual could take down the internet for an entire country on the other side of the world just speaks to how deeply complex the modern Internet is. And yes, that's the joke.

@thefrey9588 A year late, and YouTube doesn't like sharing non-YT links, but yes, this was very real. A quick Google search finds contemporary pieces from CNN and techcrunch.

He was a mac user. That's a Gen 5 iMac. Would have topped out at 512MB of RAM with a 2.1GHz PowerPC (single-core?) CPU. For context, a Raspberry Pi 4B has four cores that can be pushed to that clock, and up to 16x the RAM.

@dontspikemydrink9382 Two years late: the joke is that a lot of exchanges coordinated over Craigslist were done in parking lots in broad daylight out of fear that the other person was trying to scam and/or murder the other. Appreciate your handle, btw. Feels apt for this conversation.
