Here's a question though: does your company *really* use SAFe or did they just pay for a bunch of people to get certifications so they could SAY they were using SAFe? Because SAFe itself actually has a lot of advantages over Scrum, namely in forcing the physical separation of product management and product ownership and in coordination of related workstreams. But if your company is just using SAFe as an opportunity for the SVP to schedule a bunch more multi-day all-hands, then the issue isn't the practice, it's the practitioner. And as I finish typing that out I'm realizing that my argument is essentially the same as "True communism has never been attempted," so just gonna sit with that for a sec.
