@simplus1980 If any of these clients hosted sensitive data, there can be very strict rules about where your data can be "at rest" where the standard procedure of backing up data to your "offsite mobile cold storage" (magnetic tapes stored in the back seat of the sysadmin's car) simply won't fly. Oftentimes cloud buckets are the only acceptable data store. Still, I'd hope that clients under those restrictions at least sprung for cross-region duplication...
