  1. My headcanon is that Hesiod was being a little subversive here and saying that logic or humanism would one day supplant the need for Olympians. But thinking historically about the fall of Hellenism, the "all myths are true" answer would be that Jesus is somehow the son of Zeus and Metis. 😕
