  2.  @thiagomorais7419  Once your story is released into the world, you, the author, are no longer relevant. Unless you're suggesting that every trans teen who saw themselves in the Harry Potter saga (and maybe created their own OC and fanfic in that world) was monstrously wrong. Copyright and trademark protections were never meant to stop the human tradition of story adaptation, and I love that we have ridiculous examples like Pooh: Blood and Honey out there to remind us all to take the idea of "canon" a little less seriously.
