  1. Learning to code is now and has always been a horrible idea. Learning to program is useful no matter if you never touch another computer in your life. It's all about thinking logically, which, as Jeff says, will always be needed, and a computer science degree (as opposed to a four-week for-profit boot camp) is a great way to build those skills.
