Your skin complexion has nothing to do with your race or that racial categorization. Other countries have some "complexion chart" but the US only has a racial chart, regardless of your complexion. If you're Mexican American, you're Hispanic.

@robertobartolom7385 Except that Spaniards themselves are not of "pure European extraction." Mixed with moors, other north Africans, even Jewish.

Except that even a "pure" Spaniard, isn't a pure European, most of whom also have moorish, other north african, and even Semitic (Jewish) ancestry.

@BD091959 There's no such thing as as "blond" black person, no matter how mixed. Brown hair isn't blond. Neither is light brown hair.

@daveygravey8888 Where are you getting your stats? I doubt it's most, even in the south. Many people like to claim they have native ancestry, often based on family stories, but the truth is, through dna tests it's been found that hardly any of these stories are true (even if it's true in your case, you would be an exception). It's more the other way around regarding some tribes who mostly have mixed with Europeans to one degree or another.
