  1. It's a shame all those Norwegian Lebensborn children couldn't have been taken to and adopted out in America. Mixed German/Norwegian heritage is extremely common in the US (especially the northern midwest). They would have fit right in and would have grown up completely accepted by the community and themselves. My own family is of Norwegian/German heritage.
