@SteinVarjord I agree with you that the theory of Vikings in central America that early is very implausible. I watched a documentary once that came up with the most ridiculous and stretched theories in order to explain a Viking origin for some of those things in both central and south America. Your theories are far more likely. I have another one, though, if you're interested. It has religious origins, however, so its usually discounted. There's a record of group of Israelites who left the middle east at approximately 600 BC, and travelled all the way to the Americas, where they settled, and thrived for about 1000 years before finally being destroyed as a nation (but whose remnants probably continued to survive for some time after). Fellow Norwegian Thor Heyerdahl himself believed in the theories of a group of advanced and ambitious "white" people who scattered from some original location and travelled and settled over much of the world anciently, including ancient America. As a Scandinavian American, I've always been drawn to Heyerdahl and his theories.

@ssechres Exactly. Some very dense and irresponsible pseudo historians like to claim that that's evidence for a "far eastern" presence in Viking Scandinavia, which is an absurd and baseless conclusion, without any supporting evidence.
