  5. EUV is actually developed on TSMC's 12b factory with TSMC's help. Many breakthrough in Lithography and advanced chip like finfet are from Taiwanese scientists' invention.

  6.  @jaredgarbo3679  China is not worth mentioning, China is just too small in this field with low end techonoly, 50% revenue of China's most advanced semi giant SMIC is from 65 nm, 65 nm is obsolete technology, in 2005 TSMC produced 65 nm but stop making for a long time. Beside money is not the most important issue in making chips, talents plays major role in this industry, almost 100% Chinese critical semi scientists are from Taiwan, but now is getting more and more difficult to recrew Taiwanese to work there after trade war

  8. This is not a novel product, you probably have seen a lot of Chinese online propaganda. TSMC shipped carbon base chips from a few years ago, and the carbon base chips market is only a few billion dollars. TSMC can't spend much time on this product now.
