@SteelersFan43 capitalism always corrupts the democratic system. It's an engine for concentrating wealth and power. The working class has been on the losing side of a class war for 50 years. It's only just starting to wake up to that fact. The reason Bernie was effective was that he sees politics through that lens. Jon doesn't. He is still a liberal. He sees politics through the lens of good people bs bad people. It's not the people. It's the system. And just electorally, if you want to win big enough to actually take on the capitalist oligarchy, you're going to need a very big coalition of the working class. That means getting back all the more socially conservative working class people who used to be part of the Democratic Party coalition in the post war period - the people who gave the Democrats almost uninterrupted control of the House through the 50s-80s. And Jon isn't that guy. He is far too associated with the centrist liberals that many working class people have come to despise.
