@marctouss1862 To lobby you have to be on good terms with politicians. She will have no pull in the party if she destroys the whole party's agenda. She will be completely burned for good.

There is zero chance that Sinema could win a GOP primary. Her political career would be over at the next election and she would have burnt all her bridges for lobbying jobs. Manchin would have to retire as well unless he was prepared to go more Trumpist than whoever Trump backs at the next election, which is highly unlikely. It would be fairly suicidal for either of them.

@marctouss1862 She has no real pull with Republicans either. She has been a Democrat for years. A GOP Senator did the same in reverse in 2009. He lost his next election and disappeared into obscurity.

COP26 is in 2 weeks. If Biden and the Dems haven't passed anything by then, they are effectively walking into the most important climate summit in history with their pants around their ankles, for all the world to see.

@babybijou969 Maybe but she hasn't caucused with them. She doesn't know them that well. I doubt she would be seen as a first choice lobbyist when other lifelong Republicans are available... It's not impossible that she could switch sides but it would be very risky
