  1. Correct. Fear of foreigners. Fear of people stealing jobs or attacking women. Fear of invasion. Fear of terrorists. On and on. All to divert attention from the real causes of our problems - a wealthy corporate elite that own the media, own our data and increasingly own our governments with their "political donations" = bribes.

  2. Neoliberal capitalism has systematically stripped most people of meaningful control of their lives or their government. It's no surprise that they lurch into baseless conspiracies in response. The real conspiracy is in plain sight. Capitalism has gone completely off the rails and it's taking our society and our planet with it.
