3:36 this is a man that is happy to see your kids unable to buy food when they grow up. This is a man that is happy to see millions did across the global south to support the profits of the fossil fuel industry. This is a man that has abandoned any shred of human decency he ever had, and he typifies a deadly strand of politics that will drive humanity into chaotic collapse.

@danieljrs507 no, I am just realistic and read the science on climate. There is basically nothing going right on emissions and the climate. We are still expanding fossil fuel infrastructure. Emissions are still going up every year. We are still subsidising fossil fuels to the tune of hundreds of billions every year. We are still expanding animal agriculture and chopping down vital forests. We are seeing rapidly rising methane emissions from melting permafrost. We are seeing record low ice extent in the Arctic which amplifies warming. We are seeing record wildfires which dump billions tons of CO2 and soot into the atmosphere. Etc etc etc If you think wind farms and EVs can save us while we continue to see rising emissions I've got bad news for you. While we keep burning fossil fuels, it's completely and totally irrelevant how much clean energy we have. The atmosphere doesn't respond to wind and solar. It responds to greenhouse gases. The ONLY metric that matters is how much CO2, methane, NO2, etc we are putting into the atmosphere. And far from achieving reductions of 8-10% per year as needed, we are still INCREASING emissions globally. That's why I am not glass half empty. The glass is actually about 90% empty right now. Come back to me when emissions start falling fast every year.

Neoliberal parties will never deal with this critical issue fairly. Macron screwed this up and created the maillots jaunes in response to his tax policy. Labour will screw this up by not sufficiently supporting people to do what us necessary. The Tories are deliberately denying Londoners the funds to do a scrapage scheme for cynical political advantage. It will cost everyone very very dear if we don't actually deal with this issue like the crisis it is. No one asked if we could afford to fight WW2. We did what was necessary. The same approach is urgently required now.
