No, that's already a thing. Going to jail for owning a drug less harmful than alcohol is pretty bad for mental health.

@SmackWaterMack001 Indeed. Less harmful than alcohol. Illegal weed is just a money making exercise for the drinks industry and an excuse for packing private prisons with poor black people for profit.

@SmackWaterMack001 Yes, that's right. But black men do get locked up at much higher rates than whites for the same offences. Anyway, the prison industrial complex is a racket and a very harmful one. Ending the war in drugs would be a huge win. All the evidence shows that decriminalisation massively reduces harm from drugs.

@mwilson7842 Yep, at least since workers stopped getting pay rises, were fed opioids instead of real health care and had their jobs shipped away by greedy neoliberal sociopaths.
