  2. Slaine Saxon Well, my company was doing fine in the EU as it was. We don't deal much with America as there are much bigger and cheaper companies over that we can't compete with. TBH I would prefer to have a good job now than the promise of a job later. I have a mortgage to pay and kids to feed. If I'm on the dole that's going to be a nightmare. The only thing I can try is to go to my dad with a begging bowl but he as he already helped me with the deposit on my flat a few years ago and his pension has tanked since 2008. I appreciate your optimism but I'm crapping myself.

  3. Slaine Saxon I'm not getting any of this from the news. My manager is telling us this so we can prepare. My company imports most of its parts from the EU and exports most of our finished products back there. We are subject to a ton of EU safety regulations as our products are used in the food chain. We have been told that several of our major customers are negotiating deals with German competitors and if we leave without a deal, they'll switch away from us because dealing with a non-EU supplier is too much hassle. My team will get cut as 90% of what we work on will go. Tbh I'm getting a bit sick of people saying everything will be fine. I don't know if I will have a job in 6 weeks. We'll get redundancy but it won't last long.
