As Dorries openly observed, MPs believe they have to stay loyal to the man who won them their seat. Because as usual, it's about power to rule, never about principle or integrity.

@SvetlanaRakhim The deterrent only works if you are prepared to use it. Ukraine cannot defend against Russian forces regardless how much money the British government blows on weapons for the Ukrainian government. And the only other deterrent is the threat of US and U.K. going into lethal combat operations against Russia - something so incredibly dangerous that it was avoided successfully throughout the Cold War. Both sides have tactical (battlefield) nuclear weapons under the command of field officers. Putting these forces into battle against eachother is begging for nuclear war. The way to end this stand off is for NATO to stop its expansion eastwards. What NATO is doing now is as provocative as the Warsaw Pact recruiting Mexico. When Russia tried to station forces on Cuba, it very very nearly caused nuclear war. What NATO is doing is very similar. It's extremely provocative and dangerous.
