Maybe you haven't heard as I guess you last checked the state of technology in the 1930s but we now have amazing things like wind power, nuclear power, solar power, geothermal power, biomass power, tidal power, hydro power and solar thermal power to name a few. The current corrupt and broken system is just set up to protect them, and keep out competition.
