  1. Inequality is inherent to capitalism. I'm sure corruption plays a major role but the more capitalist a country gets, the more unequal it gets as well. And as the state withdraws, it's ability to mitigate this inequality collapses. That's when countries turn to socialism or social democracy (like the FDR New Deal) or fascism (like Mussolini). Only one delivers for ordinary people.

  3.  @ContrarianCorner  it's the government's job to look after its citizens. They get to decide how it does that. At least if you believe in democracy. Billionaires only exist because the state makes it possible for them. You sound like an ardent libertarian who doesn't like being told what to do. That's fine. Just move to Somalia why they don't have a functioning government.
