  1. Oh c'mon. The cat is out of the bag. The war in Afghanistan wasn't about nation building. It was about pouring taxpayers money into arms manufacturers and mercenaries. The WaPo did a piece last month on how 80-90% of the money spent in Afghanistan was recycled back into the US economy, not the Afghan one. They were doing nation building in the palatial mansions of defence contractor executives in northern Virginia.
