@LuzdoSol00 You are right. Bombing children with "precision targeted bombs" is unforgivable. But it's not new. Israel has had policy of periodically "mowing the lawn" (killing hundreds of civilians in Gaza) for decades. Not to mention the ethnic cleansing of the West Bank etc etc Israel doesn't deserve your money in any form.

@LuzdoSol00 The Israeli Zionist attack on Palestinians goes back to 1947 when the British helped them forcibly throw 700,000 Palestinian people off their land. Many of their descendants now live in Gaza, the largest open air prison in the world. It's not for nothing that the Palestinians call the creation of Israel in their land "the catastrophe".

wownouser I guess you don't actually know what Zionists think. They have been busy kicking Palestinians out of the West Bank since 1967. Do you think apartheid and ethnic cleansing are a response to rockets? No, they are the cause of the rockets.

wownouser So you support taking over Palestinian land with illegal settlements? You support an apartheid state in the 48 borders? Not my description- the description of Human Rights Watch and B'Selem. Whether you realise it or not, your country is carrying out one of the most egregious campaigns of human rights abuses of the last 50 years. The project of settlements assumes that Palestinians have no right to their land - that it all belongs to Jewish Israelis. It doesn't in law or morally. It assumes that Palestinians who get in the way can be humiliated, persecuted and punished for any acts of resistance. They can't. And that before we get into the outright war crimes that Israel visits upon a captive and dehumanised population of Gaza on a daily basis through its illegal blockades of everything from food to medicines to water. Your country shoots at civilians trying to fish in their own waters. Not to mention the periodic episodes of horrific violence against the civilian population that kill hundreds including women, children, doctors, aide workers etc etc It's an ugly, demeaning and dehumanising campaign of fear, oppression and racism. Israel has a pretty straightforward route to peace. Implement equal rights and dignity for all people in the region, not an apartheid state of cruel injustice. You are on the wrong side of history, just as the white apartheid government of South Africa was.

@Jonathan-ym3yw ☝️The fan of ethnic cleansing has entered the chat.

They all are.

wownouser You have been well indoctrinated into the myth of your country's founding I see.... not much I will be able to do about that here.
1
wownouser Who is more likely to be indoctrinated? Me, who doesn't live in the area and gets to read reports from many journalists and NGOs, and *who has no dog in the fight*, or you who lives in the country which several human rights groups calls an apartheid state and who has grown up being fed self-serving propaganda by the Israeli state and its corporate backers to justify years of major breaches of international law, war crimes and human rights abuses?

@yisel estrada Talk about living in the past 🤦♂️

@LuzdoSol00 This is what the occupation looks like for Palestinians every day. It's why Human Rights Watch and B'Tselem call the situation apartheid. It is a tragedy and it won't end until the US is shamed into renouncing it's unconditional support for Israel. Maybe when the oil is not so important any more, the US will give up its strategic foothold in the region. That is after all, the main reason why it ships billions of dollars of military equipment to Israel every year. Those aren't Israeli planes dropping bombs on Gaza. They are US planes paid for by US taxpayers.

@LuzdoSol00 I can imagine it's confusing, yes. Israel is a country that was created in 1947 after WW2. Zionists described the dream of Israel as "A land with no people for a people with no land." Unfortunately that isn't what happened. The land had many people living there already. 700,000 were expelled. In 1967, after a short war with its neighbours, Israel invaded parts of the countries surrounding it. It has been in occupied some of that land ever since. The UN issued a security council resolution for Israel to leave this land but it didn't. Israelis left Gaza in the early 2000s but they then imposed a permanent blockade making it impossible to enter of leave without Israeli permission. They block imports and exports meaning that Gazans go short of the basics of life. Meanwhile, Israelis have been expelling Palestinians from their homes in East Jerusalem and the West Bank, directly breaking international law. They are effectively making it impossible for Palestinians to take back the West Bank because it is full of zealous Zionists who believe the entire area, as far as the Jordan river to the east, is Israel. Only they believe this. No one else. Indeed some Zionists also think that Jordan should be part of Israel... The history is public record. Just read impartial sources of history. There are in fact many Israelis and Jews who are strongly in favour of Palestinians rights. But not our friend wownouser. He is fairly heavily indoctrinated.

wownouser Is Human Rights Watch funded by anti-Israel activists? They call Israel's treatment of Palestinians "apartheid and persecution". I am not Arab but it would hardly matter if I was. The facts speak for themselves. As for calling out the attacks of Hamas on Israel, I am no supporter of Hamas, though I think Palestinians have a right to self defence. But firstly, Palestinians don't have one of the most powerful militaries in the world like Israel. They don't kill hundreds of people including dozens of children by targeting heavily populated civilian populations with huge bombs. And they don't throw Israelis out of their homes as a matter of public policy. They don't imprison 2 million people in perpetuity. And as a famous Jew of the first century said "first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."
