  1. Hannity lying again. Schiff said that the dossier made up a only a small part of the reason to surveil Carter Page, not a large part as Hannity says. The main reasons were to do with Carter Page’s previous conduct and contact with Russian intelligence officers in the past. The source of the dossier was also made clear in a footnote to the FISA application. Nunes said it was not disclosed and was therefore lying. Schiff also confirmed that at least some of the Steele dossier is true according to US intelligence (which Nunes has never had access to btw) The dossier was initially Republican opposition research. It was not “bought and paid for” by Democrats alone. Republicans initially commissioned. You would have thought that a patriot would be more concerned about the actions of a US citizen having links to Russian intelligence and potentially aiding the Russians in subverting the democratic process in the US than trying to score political points (and lying to do so), but Hannity is a creature of Trump and the GOP first, and an American second. After watching all of Hannity’s rabid hyping of the Nunes memo prior to its release and then the massive disappointment when it basically said nothing of interest, I really don’t give a crap about Hannity’s opinion on this. He sold the Nunes memo as a massive deal, and it came to nothing. Now he tried to make a story out of the Schiff memo instead, but he has to lie and distort the truth with every word he says to do so. It’s pitiful.
